France Repatriated 370,000 Citizens Worldwide During COVID-19 Crisis, New Documentary Reveals

The Minister of Foreign Affairs has posted online a documentary on the repatriation of French citizens stranded in Morocco and other countries due to the coronavirus. In total, 370,000 French travelers returned to France as part of these operations.
"After that, the borders will close one after the other, all over the world. We are setting up the largest repatriation operation in the country’s history, with a total of 370,000 French travelers present in all corners of the world that we have brought home in the space of two months. I can tell you that we went to look for compatriots lost on small islands in the Philippines or in Indonesia," the Secretary of State for Tourism, Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, told Tourmag.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs has produced a documentary filled with testimonies in order to immortalize the largest repatriation operation in the history of France. This operation took place between March 13 and June 26, 2020 in several countries: Peru, Morocco, Latvia, the Philippines and Vanuatu.
In total, 370,000 French people were repatriated as part of the operation. Among them, 240,000 beneficiaries of the aid of the French diplomatic and consular network, in close coordination with Air France and many others.
