France Resumes Normal Visa Processing for Moroccans, Warns Against Using Intermediaries

The French Embassy in Rabat announced the normal resumption of visa issuance and its service provider, calling on people wishing to obtain a visa not to turn to intermediaries.
"The political decisions that were taken in mid-December, that is to say a return to normal in terms of visa issuance, for Moroccan nationals, are indeed being implemented. Applicants are treated in the best possible way, both in terms of reception quality, and also in terms of speed and efficiency for the issuance of the titles they are applying for," said the French Ambassador, Christophe Lecourtier.
The Consul General of France in Rabat, Sandrine Lelong-Motta, warned people wishing to obtain a visa not to trust intermediaries who demand money in exchange for an appointment. She stated that "more than 800 appointments are open every day," advising to apply about 15 days before the departure date.
Christophe Lecourtier took the opportunity to recall that Morocco was the leading beneficiary in North Africa and Africa in general of visas issued by France in 2022, despite the 50% restrictions that had been decided.
