France Mobilizes 12,800 Police for World Cup Match Security

In anticipation of the World Cup third-place match which pits Morocco against Croatia this Saturday, the French authorities have put in place a special security system. A total of 12,800 police and gendarmes have been mobilized to ensure the safety of the post-match festivities throughout the country.
The French Minister of the Interior announced the deployment of an even more impressive device than the one put in place during the Morocco-France semi-final. From 10,000, the number of law enforcement members increases this Saturday to 12,800.
Regarding the France-Argentina final scheduled for Sunday, 14,000 members of the forces will ensure security, the same sources added. According to the update from the ministry, the Champs-Élysées will remain open to traffic this Saturday. On the other hand, on Sunday for the final, they will be completely pedestrianized.
For this final, the Paris police headquarters has strengthened its security system, deploying 2,750 police and gendarmes in the capital, compared to 2,000 last Saturday.
