France Leads International Air Travel to Morocco with Record 86 Weekly Flights

With 86 weekly flights, France occupies the first place in terms of international travel to Morocco.
After a very dark period, business seems to be gradually picking up again. A relief that comes after two years of suffering. With the reopening of borders, Morocco is once again becoming one of the favorite destinations of the French with 86 weekly flights, or an average of more than 12 flights per day and a peak of 15 flights for last Saturday.
Behind France, Spain comes second with 20 flights. Then come the United Kingdom with 16 flights, Portugal (10 flights), Belgium (9 flights), Turkey (8 flights), Italy (6 flights), Switzerland (5 flights), the Netherlands (4 flights), Israel (3 flights), Germany and Ireland (2 flights) each.
Nicolas Henin, Deputy Managing Director Commercial of Air France’s low-cost subsidiary Air Transavia, points out that demand has been strong since the reopening of air borders. "Since the announcement, we have counted between 4,000 and 5,000. By this summer, we will have 40% more seats compared to 2019, which is our pre-pandemic reference year. Two new destinations are scheduled for April: Oujda and Fez, from Nantes Atlantique airport," reports Le Figaro.
According to the same source, the provisional flight schedule to and from Marrakech-Menara airport for the week of February 21-27, 2022 indicates a continuous improvement in the volume of air rotations.
