France Issues Record 400,000 Visas to Moroccan Nationals, Foreign Minister Says

France has issued a little over 400,000 entry visas to Moroccan nationals, said French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian on the sidelines of his visit to Morocco that began on Friday, June 7.
This figure is very significant and shows the attractiveness between Morocco and France, added the French Foreign Minister, arguing that given the number of application flows, there are consequently processing delays.
"It’s rather good news for our relationship, but it needs to be managed as best as possible," said Le Drian, according to whom the agents operating in the French consulates in Morocco are doing so with "a lot of determination" so that visa applicants can be honored as soon as possible.
Regarding visa application costs, the French minister said they have not increased, indicating that his country is subject to European regulations.
Note that the visit of the French Foreign Minister is scheduled to end tomorrow Monday. In addition to meetings with Moroccan officials, he is expected to participate in an economic meeting at the Euromed University devoted to the challenges of technological cooperation and he should also receive the French community.
