France Intensifies Crackdown on Political Islamism, Closing Dozens of Establishments

France is expressing its determination to fight political Islamism. This is at least what Laurent Nuñez, Secretary of State for the Interior, has made known.
The French government is currently looking into the matter, reports the AFP. According to Laurent Nuñez, Secretary of State for the Interior, political Islamism "suggests that the law of God would be superior to the law of the Republic".
He also hammered that there is a need not to confuse political Islamism with Islam. This form of Islam, said Laurent Nuñez, is at the origin of the closure of no less than 130 drinking establishments, 12 places of worship, 4 off-contract schools and 9 associations or cultural establishments in about fifteen neighborhoods, without however providing details on the neighborhoods or on this period.
