France Imposes COVID-19 Tests on Arrivals from Morocco and Other Non-EU Countries

Faced with the rise in contamination in the country, the French authorities have confined the population again. To avoid taking any risks, they are imposing, from November 7 next, a covid-19 test on passengers from outside Europe, including Morocco, before any entry into the territory.
All non-European Union countries are affected by this measure decided to counter the coronavirus, reports Ouest France. By imposing this measure, the French authorities want to limit the number of infected people entering European soil. Covid-19 tests were in effect in particular for all travelers from countries on the French government’s red list. These countries were considered coronavirus epicenters.
With the re-containment, President Macron insisted that every traveler be checked. "No traveler should be able to enter European territory without being certain that he is not a carrier of the virus," added the head of state.
For Thomas Juin, president of the Union of French Airports, every traveler is required to present a negative virological test or to take an antigen test at the airport, with results within 30 minutes. According to the official, Europe should have the same procedure.
