France to Deport Foreign Troublemakers in New Crackdown, Interior Minister Says

Troublemakers of foreign nationality are no longer welcome on French territory. They must be "systematically" sent back to their country of origin, according to the Minister of the Interior.
"I ask you to systematically implement the procedures to interrupt, as soon as possible, the presence of these people on our territory," demanded the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin in a letter addressed to the prefects and published on his Twitter account.
In this message, the Minister of the Interior also invited the prefectural authorities to be "extremely vigilant", reports Le Parisien. To succeed in this measure, the Minister of the Interior has invited the prefects to take into account three important pillars, namely a "close coordination" between "security forces", "judicial authority" or "prison administration" with a view to "preparing the removal of incarcerated foreigners with all necessary anticipation".
He also wished for a "complete and systematic implementation of all relevant administrative procedures" for "refusals or withdrawals of title" or even "French nationality". To this end, the prefects are authorized to use "all operational tools" to carry out these "removals", namely "detention", "assignment" or "participation in group flights".
Continuing his message, Minister Gérald Darmanin asked the prefectural authorities for a quarterly and personal report on these removals. According to him, a reflection is underway on the legislative provisions to be taken in the coming months in order to facilitate certain procedures. This decision follows the hatchet attack that took place last week in front of the former premises of Charlie Hebdo and was carried out by a Pakistani national, the same source specifies.
