Former French PM Accuses Polisario of Arms and Human Trafficking in Sahel

The former French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, strongly criticized the Polisario during a television interview, accusing it of being involved in arms and human trafficking.
"The Polisario is involved in arms, human and drug trafficking and therefore poses a real threat to security in the Sahel region," Valls said on Friday on the Spanish television channel Antena 3″. For him, the positions of Podemos (minority party in the Spanish coalition government) on the Sahara and on the separatists are "irresponsible". Insofar as "the Polisario is involved in arms, human and drug trafficking in the Sahel region".
The Franco-Spanish politician called on the Spanish government to be responsible and up to the challenges facing the country and Europe. "We must not sing off-stage," he warned, recalling that Morocco is an important ally for Europe. "Morocco is an indispensable ally in the fight against terrorism and jihadism, which is a major challenge for Europe," said Mr. Valls.
"We have thousands of radicalized people in our countries. For this reason, we need the collaboration of African countries, and particularly Morocco," he added.
