Flight to Morocco cancelled: "I’m fed up"

A nationwide strike by air traffic controllers has led to the cancellation of around sixty flights at Toulouse-Blagnac airport this Friday, including some to Morocco, disrupting traffic on the first day of the school holidays.
In detail, the airport management recorded 27 departures and 28 arrivals cancelled, which represents about 30% of the usual flight schedule. The cancellations mainly affected domestic and European routes, forcing passengers to find alternatives.
These disruptions have placed many passengers in a complex situation. Some, like Laëtitia who was supposed to go to Paris with her son, had anticipated the situation and were looking for a fallback solution directly at the airport. "We’ll see if we can get booked on another flight, otherwise we’ll take the train," she said. Other passengers found themselves without an immediate solution, like Karim, whose flight to Morocco was cancelled. "I booked it two months ago, I’m fed up. Who will refund us?" he said to la Dépêche. Another traveler simply noted: "We don’t know what to do."
The industrial action was initiated at the call of two minority unions in the profession. They intend to protest against what they describe as "managerial excesses within the Directorate of Air Navigation Services" and an "authoritarian and brutal management" from their hierarchy.
Beyond this Friday, air traffic could remain affected. Delays are to be expected on some flights this Saturday. According to the information provided, other strikes could take place before the end of the summer period.
