Ferry "Le Bretagne" to Begin Spain-Morocco Route This Summer

After "Le Normandie", which joined La Méridionale’s fleet, "Le Bretagne", from the Brittany Ferries company, is changing horizons. It will make the crossing between Europe and Morocco this summer, departing from Spain.
The ferry "Le Bretagne", which has long ensured the cross-Channel crossings for Brittany Ferries, will continue its career on the lines between Spain and Morocco. It should operate between Almeria and Nador on behalf of the Spanish shipowner Balearia. This shipowner is led by Georges Bassoul, but the Adolfo Utor family ensures control, reports Le Marin.
Currently docked in Le Havre, "Le Bretagne", still under the French flag, is preparing to join the Mediterranean.
On November 3, 2024, "Le Bretagne" had left Saint-Malo for the last time, putting an end to thirty-five years of service between the region and England. Its final destination was Portsmouth.
This 151-meter ship, built in 1989, had left the port. Foghorn blasts marked this departure, while a bagad played on board.
