Father Confesses to Killing Three Children in Alfortville, France

A man, presumably of Moroccan origin, turned himself in to the Dieppe police on Sunday to confess to the murder of his three children. The bodies of the three minors were found in a dwelling on the Quai Jean-Baptiste-Clément in Alfortville, in the Val-de-Marne.
"A man born in 1982 presented himself to the law enforcement authorities in Dieppe (Seine-Maritime) to declare that he had killed his three children," the Créteil prosecutor’s office said. The suspect, Younes E., 41, is known to the police for acts of domestic and intrafamilial violence against minors under 15, reports Le Figaro cited by Nord Littoral.
The suspect would have been born in Morocco and holds a valid residence permit in France until 2025. The police are still looking for the mother of the children, a 36-year-old woman, according to sources close to the case.
According to a police source, the three children killed with a bladed weapon are girls aged 11, 10 and 5 years old. Their bodies were found in the apartment where they live, one on the sofa and the other two under a blanket.
Their father, the presumed perpetrator of the murder, in custody at the Dieppe police station, will be handed over to the judicial police of Val-de-Marne, in charge of investigating this case. "The Dieppe public prosecutor’s office has relinquished jurisdiction in favor of that of Créteil," explained Étienne Thieffry, the public prosecutor of Dieppe.
