Electric Car Road Trip to Morocco: Vacationers Embrace Eco-Friendly Travel Amid Fuel Price Surge

Faced with the surge in fuel prices in France, some vacationers prefer to travel by electric car - less expensive than a trip by car running on traditional fuel - to reach nearby or distant destinations like Morocco.
Is it possible to go on vacation in 100% electric? "99% of service areas are already equipped, so yes it is already possible to go on vacation in 100% electric," assures Clément Molizon, general delegate of the national association for the development of electric mobility (Avere) on RMC Friday morning. Mohamed, a VTC driver living in Chartres (Eure-et-Loir), completely won over by the electric, confirms. According to his explanations, he "went to Morocco with" his electric vehicle, a Tesla Model X. According to him, he never had any problem regarding the recharging of his vehicle thanks to the anticipation of the on-board computer of the Tesla. The device "tells us all the places where we have to stop, and how long we have to wait to charge" the batteries, he adds.
From his home in Chartres to Algeciras in southern Spain (about 1,900 kilometers), Mohamed made a journey of nearly 24 hours. "It’s about 6 hours more than a trip made on diesel, without a break, which lasts a little over 18 hours," the French media points out. The advantages linked to the electric vehicle trip depend, however, on the model. "Before, I had a Kia Niro, recounts Romain, a self-employed nurse in Auvergne
