EasyJet Suspends France-Morocco Flights Amid COVID Restrictions

Easyjet has announced the suspension of its flights between France and Morocco from November 25 to 30, 2021. Here are the reasons.
This temporary suspension is due to the "anti-Covid restrictions imposed by the Moroccan authorities," said some sources close to the airline company, quoted by Le360.
If the real motivations for this decision are not officially published, the same sources confide that Easyjet would be unable to bear the repatriation costs of its passengers detected positive upon arrival, as the Moroccan authorities have decided a few days ago.
As a result, only the France-Morocco route has been suspended for 5 days while the company operates flights from several other countries such as Italy or Switzerland.
"France is on the B list and the company apprehends finding itself, upon arrival, with positive cases, or even passages with falsified vaccination passes and PCR tests," commented a source close to Easyjet’s management.
Since Thursday, Morocco requires passengers from this list to present a vaccination pass, a PCR test dated less than 48 hours and subjects them to rapid (antigen) tests upon arrival in Morocco.
During this process, if a passenger tests positive, he is then required to take the return flight with the same company, except for residents who are admitted to hospitals in Morocco.
