EastEnders Star’s Moroccan Marriage Nightmare: Cheryl Fergison Reveals Shocking Wedding Details
British actress Cheryl Fergison, soon to be 60 years old, has revealed details about her marriage to Moroccan Yassine Al-Jamoun, who is 21 years her junior.
On May 2, 2011, British actress Cheryl Fergison remarried a Moroccan named Yassine Al-Jermoni, whom she had met via Skype, in the presence of her son, Alex, from her previous marriage to an Afghan named Jamshed Saddiqi. On Instagram, the EastEnders star had shared a selfie of herself and her husband. That day, Yassine was wearing a blue polo shirt and a blue baseball cap. In another photo, she is seen posing alongside her son, Alex. "My husband Yassine, my son Alex. My world," she captioned the photos.
Today, the British actress reveals in her shocking autobiography, Behind The Scenes, just how horrible her marriage was, reports Mirror. "It was the worst wedding I’ve ever been to. It was just me and Yas in a registry office in Agadir. It was a small tiled room that really looked like a public toilet. The guy who married us looked just like Mr Bean," she recounts. She adds: "Married in a tiled toilet by a Moroccan version of Mr Bean. Honestly, that’s my life!"
