Drug Trafficking Ring Busted: Moroccan Kingpin Eludes Capture as French Court Sentences Associates

While the mastermind of a cannabis trafficking network dismantled between Spain and Nice in February 2022 is in Morocco, his "employees" have received various prison sentences following their trial before the correctional court.
Three men and two women appeared before the Nice correctional court last Thursday. Tried for cannabis trafficking, they received various prison sentences. Hedi B., the main defendant, arrested with 14 kilos of cannabis, was sentenced to 4 years in prison, reports Monaco Matin. Radouan J. was sentenced to 3 years, including 1 with probationary suspension, while Jason T. (defended by lawyer Luc Tran Duy) was sentenced to 2 years in prison. They are all being held in custody.
The court sentenced Marie-France G. to 30 months in prison, including 15 with probation, and Marina A. (defended by lawyer Jean-Yves Garino) to 10 months in prison. These two women have regained their freedom. These five defendants had participated in go-fasts between Spain and Nice and had supplied the Côte d’Azur capital with cannabis resin. In total, about ten trips, following a certain regularity, according to the judicial police of Nice.
So far, Charlie - a pseudonym - the mastermind of this network who recruited these men and women from Morocco via telephone and paid them through intermediaries, has not been prosecuted. No arrest warrant has been issued against him.
