Drug Kingpin Faces 10-Year Sentence in Major French Trafficking Case

The trial of the drug supermarket in Saint-Ouen continues. On Monday, the prosecutor of the 13th correctional chamber of the Bobigny court (Seine-Saint-Denis) requested various sentences against the alleged head of the trafficking ring on the run in Morocco and other defendants.

After several days of hearings, it was time for the prosecution’s requests on Monday, May 23. Various sentences were requested against the "mules" who store the drugs at their homes, the active members of the drug dealing point (lookouts, suppliers...), the main players, two leaders of the network, two tobacco shop managers on Michelet Avenue. The public prosecutor requested 10 years in prison and a fine of 5 million euros against Aboubacar S., the alleged head of the trafficking ring on the run in Morocco. His brother Moussa, also a leader of the network, faces 15 years in prison and the same fine.

The Bobigny prosecutor’s office requested 11 years in prison against David M, alias Vida, considered the main manager of the activities on the ground. One of the two tobacco shop managers on Michelet Avenue, whose establishment played a major role in the trafficking, faces three years in prison, including one firm, the other a waiver of sentence given the pressures and threats exerted on his person, reports Actu.fr. These two defendants had laundered drug money through sports betting.

Several police operations carried out over a year resulted in the dismantling of this network. Three waves of arrests took place from June 2020 to April 2021. Presented as one of the most thriving in Saint-Ouen, the drug dealing point on Michelet Avenue was generating up to 1.4 million euros per month.
