Driver in Fatal Festieux Crash Released After Two Months in Prison

After two months of incarceration, the Amiens court accepted the request of Vincent Montré, the motorist convicted on November 21, 2019 to 5 years in prison. Author of the Festieux accident, which cost the lives of two little girls, he was released under judicial supervision.
A macabre road accident occurred on April 4, 2018, on the RD 1044 in Festieux, in the Aisne department. The toll is two dead - two girls aged 2 and 4 - and two seriously injured, their mother Nadia Karmel, and their one-month-old brother Isaac. The motorist Vincent Montré, who was driving a used Maserati, is the author of this accident.
In court, Montré’s guilt had been established. He was sentenced on November 21, 2019 to 5 years in prison, including 3 years firm for involuntary manslaughter and involuntary injuries. With his lawyer, he had appealed. After two months of incarceration, his request for a sentence reduction was accepted, reports Franceinfo.
"You crushed them and I’m afraid it was without remorse. On my side, something is eating me; you never had a word for them or for Isaac, let alone for us," laments Nadia Karmel, disheartened.
