Dozens of Toulouse Families Stranded in Morocco Amid Coronavirus Travel Ban

About fifty Toulouse families find themselves stranded in some Maghreb countries including Morocco, due to the suspension of air flights because of the coronavirus. They are desperate day by day.
"For more than a week now, families from our neighborhoods in Mirail have been without a solution. Their return flights to France have been canceled. These families, whose testimony we have collected by telephone, say they go to the airports, crowded, every day from 5 a.m.," says Djamila Bouras, an activist, to La Dépêche.
According to her, these families have reported the non-observance of certain barrier gestures against the coronavirus: crowded people confined without masks or any protection, no safety distance, worrying proximity. Meanwhile, "the embassies keep their doors closed and receive certificates from under the gates," she laments.
As a result, "these families have no clear answer; they are left to their own devices in a climate of palpable tension and panic," denounces the community activist. They are not heard and deplore non-existent safety conditions".
Faced with this situation, Djamila Bouras warns about the lack of health and material support for these families who feel abandoned.
