Dole-Jura Airport Sees 32% Passenger Surge, Driven by Morocco Flights

Passenger traffic at Dole (Jura) airport increased by 32% in 2021 compared to the previous year. This is partly due to Morocco.
Dole-Jura airport recorded 56,687 passengers in 2021, an increase of 32% compared to 2020. Compared to 2019 before the coronavirus crisis, this figure is however 50% lower. A high load factor was recorded last November. "We are currently at 83% occupancy. Which is a very good rate for the period. Since the beginning of June, departures for Portugal and Morocco have been very popular," Jean-Jacques Berto, director of the airport structure, had told the newspaper Le Progrès.
"The load factors are good on the flights we have left," says Jean-Jacques Berto at the beginning of 2022. But the extension of the suspension of all passenger flights to and from Morocco until January 31, 2022 could have a negative impact on the load factor, as Dole-Jura airport has two destinations to the kingdom: Marrakech and Fez.
