Cristiano Ronaldo’s Marrakech Hotel Opening Delayed Amid COVID-19 Crisis

Scheduled for September 2020, the opening of Cristiano Ronaldo’s hotel in Marrakech could be postponed due to the current crisis caused by Covid-19.
Construction work on the hotel began more than two years ago and should be a source of pride for the ochre city. Its opening was highly anticipated to give a boost to the tourism sector in the region. But with the spread of the coronavirus and the restrictive measures imposed, nothing is certain. Especially when we know that the hotel group has already postponed the opening of one of its establishments in Madrid.
With the establishments in Madrid and Marrakech, built with the Pestana hotel group, the football star will have a total of four hotels. He has already inaugurated the first two, in his home country, Portugal. First in Funchal, his hometown, then in Lisbon, in the heart of the capital.
The Pestana CR7 hotel in Marrakech has 174 rooms, two restaurants including one on the rooftop, a business center, a spa with a fitness room and a swimming pool.
