New COVID Testing Rules for Moroccan Arrivals at French Port of Sète

At the port of Sète, some vaccinated travelers arriving from Morocco or other countries will soon have to start with an antigen test. Until now, this test has been mandatory for unvaccinated travelers.
"In the future, vaccinated persons with vaccines deemed less effective (In Morocco, for example, vaccinations have taken place with the Chinese vaccine Sinovac) could be tested" at the port of Sète, reports Midi Libre. The antigen test so far concerns unvaccinated travelers from Morocco.
After the French federation of lifesaving and first aid and the firefighters, it is the turn of the Biomed teams to carry out the antigen tests for the unvaccinated, upon disembarking from the ferries from Morocco. "The prefecture of Hérault asked us if we were able to carry out these screenings," says Michel Bodart, medical biologist and CEO of Biomed34.
Biomed34 tests travelers on their return and departure from Morocco, i.e. two antigen tests. "They arrive in the morning to do a PCR test and come to pick it up around 6 pm to rush to take the boat. Since mid-July, that’s how it’s been," Michel Bodart also says. At the port of Sète, the results are now communicated immediately after the sampling, and not digitally.
