Convicted Killer of French Family Evades Capture for 6 Years, May Be in Morocco

Six years after the murder of Fouzia Kabdani and her three children in southern France, her ex-partner, convicted in absentia to life imprisonment, is still on the run, possibly even in Morocco.
An international arrest warrant, issued by the French authorities against the defendant, has been launched by Interpol. The victim’s sister has been waging a legal battle for six years to be able to find the murderer, who is still at large.
On June 24, 2013, Fouzia Kabdani’s lifeless body was found in her apartment in southern France. Bathed in a pool of blood, the body received 47 stab wounds before being disemboweled.
The authorities had questioned the brother of the alleged perpetrator, who had stated that he had met him in the company of the three children. He would have told him: "I made a mistake. Ask mom to forgive me." The children’s remains were found the next day in a parking lot where the car had been abandoned.
The trial of the suspect opened in November 2017. He was convicted in absentia to life imprisonment. An international arrest warrant was issued against him in 2018. To date, no information has been obtained about the location of the individual.
