UK Considers Morocco for Offshore Asylum Processing Centers

Britain is preparing to propose to Morocco to host asylum seekers. To this end, it plans to build reception centers directly in certain countries.
The British government wants to transfer its asylum procedure outside its territory. This is a measure already experimented by Australia, which has sent its asylum seekers to Papua New Guinea and Nauru. According to The Guardian, Morocco is among the countries identified by the United Kingdom for its project. In addition to Morocco, Moldova and Papua New Guinea have been targeted.
For the time being, the kingdom has not yet been approached to present the project, we are told. Also, the British authorities already fear the refusal of the Kingdom. "No North African country, including Morocco, has a fully operational asylum system," the British Foreign Office said.
