Charred Bones Found Near Cabin in Missing Woman Case in Ariège, France

The investigation into the disappearance of Fadila B., a 53-year-old woman living in Ariège, is taking a new turn after the discovery of charred bones near the home of her neighbor, a former alpine soldier living in self-sufficiency.

Has François P., 47, killed Fadila B., 53? Charred bones were found near the cabin of the former alpine soldier located in a remote area of Ariège, the place where the fifty-year-old woman was last seen, reports La Dépêche, specifying that "this discovery was made in an area where the suspect was in the habit of burning his waste and practicing controlled burning." These bones, which could be those of the Ariège woman, are currently being analyzed.

Fadila had suddenly disappeared on November 4, 2024 after participating that weekend in a party in Biert, near the Col de la Crouzette. Following the report of her husband on November 7, the investigators were looking for clues and came across small fragments, identified as coming from the extremities of the upper limbs. On November 11 last, François P. was indicted and then placed in pre-trial detention at the Foix prison. He is accused of having murdered Fadila. Accusations rejected by the forty-year-old. But the recording of a conversation that the missing woman had transmitted to a friend tends to incriminate the main suspect.

"You won’t hurt me, François, will you?" Her interlocutor replies: "Yes, I’m going to hurt you." Guy Dedieu, François’ lawyer, confides that his client has told him that he does not remember this conversation and had "no reason to attempt the life of this woman." According to a witness, François would have had a violent altercation with the victim during the weekend.
