The investigation into an arrested assistant notary, along with real estate developer Abdelkader Boudrika, brother of Mohamed Bourdrika, officially dismissed from his position as President of the Mers Sultan District Council in Casablanca, reveals the existence of a vast real estate fraud network.
The trial of the assistant notary opened last Thursday before the first criminal chamber in charge of financial crimes at the Casablanca Court of Appeal, but the judge decided to postpone the hearing to May 23 to allow the preparation of the defense of the accused, reports Maroc Diplomatique. In addition to the notary, Mohamed El Hidaoui (RNI), Soulimane Houllich (PAM), Abdelkader Boussairi (USFP), Anas Yamlahi (USFP) and other elected officials are involved in this case.
The notary and the intermediaries have been in prison for more than a year for participation in the falsification and use of an official document, participation in the falsification of a document issued by public administrations as proof of identity, as well as participation in its use and the offenses of participation in the falsification of commercial documents. This is a completely different file. Charges of falsifying an official deed of sale, as well as forgery and use of forgery, have been brought against the defendants. They were indicted following a complaint filed by Hniyah, one of the heirs of the owner of a 1.5-hectare plot of land located in Tit Mellil, in the suburbs of Casablanca.
