Casablanca Authorities Launch Crackdown on Illegal Warehouses Owned by Elites

Following the instructions of Jalal Benhayoun, governor of the Nouaceur province, local authorities are conducting a large-scale demolition campaign of numerous warehouses belonging to well-known personalities and large companies operating outside legal frameworks in the Casablanca-Settat region.
This extensive campaign, conducted under the supervision of the head of the Lamkansa administrative annex, has revealed that several warehouse owners were illegally using electricity in violation of current regulations, local sources report to Hespress. Many warehouses belonging to influential personalities and large companies operating outside legal frameworks in the Casablanca-Settat region have been completely demolished. This will help put an end to the anarchy that prevailed in the Lamkansa area.
The objective of this campaign is to limit the illegal exploitation of land by personalities and large companies without respect for legislation, to ensure equality for all before the law, and to end the rent-seeking economy. This exploitation indeed deprives the competent services of significant investments and tax revenues. It is also about ending the flagrant exploitation, outside the legal framework, of many workers who are not declared to the National Social Security Fund and not subject to Labor Inspection control.
Local authorities do not intend to stop there. This campaign will continue in the coming days and will be extended to rural areas within the province.
