Burned alive at 16 in Anderlecht, the investigation enters a new phase
The investigation into the savage assault on a 16-year-old teenager, who was set on fire on January 30th in Anderlecht, is accelerating. The federal police issued a call for witnesses on Monday to collect video recordings and new testimonies.
While three minor suspects have already been placed in a closed institution in Everberg (De Grubbe), the authorities are seeking to shed light on this attempted murder. On the instructions of the investigating judge, the investigators are looking for any surveillance camera images that may have captured the scene or the perpetrators’ escape.

The call concerns both the facade cameras and connected doorbells of the residents, as well as the on-board cameras (dashcams) of vehicles that were circulating on Doctor Zamenhof Avenue and around the canal at the time of the incident. The police also invite any direct witnesses of the scene to come forward to identify any other accomplices.
