A police car had run over Mehdi Bouda at the Mont des Arts in the center of Brussels, on August 20, 2019 just before midnight, reports Bruzz. That night, a patrol from the Brussels-Capital/Ixelles police zone was conducting an anti-drug check at the Mont des Arts. On the arrival of the police, the 17-year-old adolescent who was at that location during the operation had fled, the public prosecutor’s office said.
This is the start of a chase. The agents had chased him, rue Ravenstein and in the Galerie Ravenstein. According to the public prosecutor’s office, this patrol was rushing to the scene of a burglary. Seriously injured, the teenager succumbed to his injuries.
Under the direction of an investigating judge, the P Committee conducted an investigation into the circumstances of this accident, which is now complete. The public prosecutor’s office will be responsible for drafting the requisitions to support before the council chamber.
