Brussels Police Hunt Suspects in Fatal Shooting of 23-Year-Old Man

The Belgian federal police have issued a wanted notice to find the perpetrators of the shooting that occurred on Wednesday at the Jacques Franck Square in Saint-Gilles (Brussels), resulting in the death of Badreddine Jammal.
The 23-year-old man was shot dead on Wednesday during a shooting at the Jacques Franck Square in Saint-Gilles. On the instructions of the competent prosecutor’s office, which has opened an investigation, the federal police have issued this wanted notice published on their website, reports Dernière Heure.
"As part of this investigation, the police are looking for people who may have witnessed the events. It is also requested that people who knew Badreddine Jammal and could provide useful information about him, come forward to the police services," the notice states.
This fatal shooting, which took place on Wednesday morning, is the fourth in one week in the same neighborhood. According to the initial findings of the investigation, it could be linked to a territorial war between drug traffickers. A first shooting took place on Sunday evening in the Lacaille street, without any victims. On Tuesday night, a second shooting was reported on the Boulevard du Midi, also without any victims.
