Brother Reveals Tragic Details of Carrefour Cashier’s COVID-19 Death in France

Khalid Issadounène made disturbing revelations about the death of his sister, Aïcha, a cashier and CGT activist at Carrefour in Saint-Denis, who died from the coronavirus on March 26.
"I couldn’t reach her anymore; I went to her place with a friend and we tried to open the door. We called the firefighters who forced the door [...] She only had 20% oxygen left," says Khalid Issadounène, Aïcha’s brother, in a video he sent to Le Parisien.
According to him, his sister was a good person, altruistic. Unfortunately, she was struck down by death. Although he is still in shock, Khalid Issadounène does not intend to sue the Carrefour group.
To date, Aïcha Issadounène is the first victim of covid-19 among the group’s cashiers. After her death, the Dionysiennes collective had issued a press release to denounce the group.
"Women are on the front line of this crisis in hospitals, nursing homes, shops; and it is on the front line that we are the least well protected. Masks are lacking, disinfectant wipes and hydroalcoholic gels are not in sufficient quantity. It is on the front line that we are asking for the heaviest efforts," the Dionysiennes had said.
