Brigitte Macron Showcases Moroccan Artist’s Work on Face Mask During Heritage Days Visit

Brigitte Macron is wearing a mask in tribute to the talent of the Moroccan artist Mehdi Qotbi. The First Lady, on a trip with the President of the Republic in the Gers, wanted to promote Heritage Days during the pandemic.
The mask worn by Brigitte Macron represents one of the canvases of the President of the National Foundation of Moroccan Museums, the FNM. This is the second time the First Lady has honored the artist by wearing one of his accessories. In 2017, during a visit to the United Arab Emirates, she had veiled herself with a Dior scarf signed by Medhi Qotbi.
As for the artist, he did not hide his joy at the honor the French First Lady gives him by wearing one of his creations. "Mrs. Macron was kind enough to invite me to lunch a few days ago. She really liked the scarf I was wearing, one of my creations, and I had two masks representing one of my paintings sent to her," he explains.
