Brake Failure Leads to Deadly Truck Crash at Moroccan Market, Killing 2 and Injuring 9

A truck ended its wild ride at the bottom of a weekly souk, crushing pedestrians and colliding with several cars along the way. Two deaths and many injuries are the toll of this tragedy, which occurred on Monday, September 1, in the Commune of Sbit in the province of Khémisset.
According to the Alyaoum24 website, the truck’s brakes failed, causing the driver to lose control and causing a real pileup at the entrance to the souk. Many vendors and their carts were swept away in the wake of the uncontrollable vehicle.
Two people were killed on the spot while nine others were rushed to the Khémisset Provincial Hospital with serious injuries. The accident caused significant material damage.
