Boughanem Brothers Retain Muay Thai World Titles with Dominant KO Victories in Brussels

These are belts that won’t be taken from them anytime soon. Yacine and Youssef Boughanem were able to keep their world titles after two fights, in two different categories, both won by KO.
On Monday, April 22, in Brussels (where the Boughanem brothers were born), the PSM Fight Night, the Muay Thai boxing event, took place. The two fighter brothers Youssef and Yassine Boughanem were defending their belts, which they were ultimately able to keep after fights in which they led almost from start to finish.
Yassine Boughanem, the younger brother, 25 years old, beat Bruno Susano, a Portuguese, in the Super Heavyweight category. The fight was stopped for medical reasons, in the second round only, because the Portuguese was injured in the face.
Then it was the turn of Youssef Boughanem, the older brother, 29 years old, who also won his fight before the end of the 5 scheduled rounds, and more precisely during the fourth. A series of blows deemed dangerous by the referee forced him to end the fight. Boughanem had also knocked down his opponent twice before that. He was fighting in the Super Welterweight category and his opponent was the Englishman Joe Craven, who is still 5th in the world.
