From now on, each fraudulent marriage attempt detected by a town hall will be automatically registered in the National Register.

No more anonymity by changing postal codes, since the police, prosecutor’s office and other municipalities will instantly know the person’s past. A major development relayed by Belga agency, which highlights the desire to optimize communication between judicial and administrative bodies. Determined to strengthen the country’s response, Bernard Quintin assures that "this mechanism will strengthen the fight against fraud" and prevent any circumvention linked to simple relocations.
