Belgium Ordered to Repatriate 10 Children from Syria, Faces Daily Fines

The Belgian government is ordered to work on the repatriation of ten children who are in Syria. Belgium takes note of this judgment, handed down on December 11 in summary proceedings by the Brussels Court of First Instance, said Foreign Minister Philippe Goffin on Wednesday.
The Belgian government must provide all necessary assistance to allow the return home of these children of Belgians who went to fight in Syria. A penalty of 5,000 euros per day and per child is provided in case of delay in the execution of the decision, indicates 7sur7.be.
This is why the Department of Foreign Affairs is working to comply with the judgment rendered. Contacts have been made with the Kurdish Forces, but it would first be necessary to see how to convince the mothers to separate from their children.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that the government has the obligation to provide the necessary assistance to execute the judgment, but it is not bound by an obligation of result as to the effective repatriation of the children, reports the same source.
