Belgium Imposes 10-Day Quarantine on Travelers from Morocco and Other High-Risk Countries

In Belgium, travelers arriving from Morocco and other countries classified as red on the map of the FPS Foreign Affairs will be required to undergo a 10-day quarantine. This measure comes into effect from December 18.
After more than a month of easing measures, Belgium has decided to take new "stricter" measures. This involves a mandatory 10-day quarantine and a screening test. "We will see if these people actually make an appointment to get tested. Those who do not will receive a call from us," said Karine Moykens, chair of the Interfederal Testing and Tracing Committee on the Radio 1 De wereld vandaag program.
There is a question of strengthening controls to ensure that the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) has been properly completed. "We are looking at how to ensure that by December 18, it will no longer be as easy to cross the border. There are ongoing discussions regarding controls at borders, airports and ports," the official said.
