Belgium to Fine Travelers from Red Zones Who Refuse COVID Testing

Travelers from Morocco and other countries classified as red zones will be fined if they refuse to be tested.
The Minister of Justice, Vincent Van Quickenborne (Open VLD), has decided that fines will be imposed as soon as possible on travelers returning from a red zone who refuse to be tested, reports Het Nieuwsblad.
"Anyone returning to Belgium today has no choice but to fill out the PLF, the passenger locator form. Based on this form, each traveler receives a code that entitles them to two tests. Our systems know who is not using these codes," the minister recalls.
Mr. Van Quickenborne sets the fine to be imposed on people who do not comply with these instructions at 250 euros. "We discussed this within the kern on Monday morning. As the federated entities are responsible for this issue, Prime Minister De Croo has asked them to work on it as soon as possible," he said.
