Belgian Strike Threatens Air Travel, Royal Air Maroc Flights at Risk

The general strike announced for this Monday, March 31 in Belgium is likely to severely disrupt air traffic at Brussels-Zaventem airport. Royal Air Maroc could be affected.
Faced with the preventive cancellation of 244 outbound flights, decided by the airport authorities due to an expected mobilization of ground staff, uncertainty hangs over the maintenance of flights of several airlines, including the Moroccan company Royal Air Maroc.
Brussels Airport justified its decision to cancel the majority of departures by the need to ensure safety and avoid congestion. While Brussels Airlines has already confirmed the cancellation of almost all of its program, operations dependent on airport services could be affected for all airlines.
In this context, Royal Air Maroc flights, which serve Casablanca and Marrakech from Brussels, could be affected. Although the company has not yet officially communicated on any cancellations or changes to its schedule for Monday, the greatly reduced capacity of Zaventem airport makes disruptions to its connections likely.
Travelers planning to fly with Royal Air Maroc from Brussels on Monday, March 31 are advised to check the status of their flight with the airline or consult the updated information provided by Brussels Airport.
