Belgian Schools in Morocco Apologize for Textbooks with Incomplete Map of Kingdom

The network of Belgian schools in Morocco apologized after the use in the elementary section of mathematics textbooks containing a map of the kingdom without the Sahara.
"We immediately proceeded to withdraw these manuals containing non-compliant maps of the presentation of the Kingdom of Morocco," the network said in a letter to parents. These manuals "will no longer be used in the future and the courses will be structured around other educational tools that comply," it promised.
Parents were also asked to "destroy any copies that students may have at home." The network of Belgian schools in Morocco apologized for this error that "escaped its control."
On December 10 last, former President Donald Trump had signed a decree recognizing American sovereignty over the Sahara. Two days later, the United States had unveiled an "official new map" of Morocco integrating the territory of the Sahara during a ceremony organized at the American embassy in Rabat. Since then, the US State Department, the CIA, NATO, NASA, and Delta Airlines have adopted this map.
