At the request of the Brussels investigating judge, the police launched an appeal for witnesses on Monday, July 30, 2019, as part of the continuation of the investigation into the kidnapping and murder of Mohamed Harrouchy.
The police are looking for witnesses who will provide them with additional information to help shed light on the kidnapping and murder of Mohamed Harrouchy.
"In the context of this murder, the investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed Mohamed’s kidnapping and who may have seen activities on Rue de Verdun, between December 9, 2018 and June 9, 2019, or who may have information about Mohamed’s murder to come forward to the police services. Discretion is assured," the appeal for witnesses states.
The same source recounts the facts. Indeed, two hooded individuals on Rue Portaels in Schaerbeek had proceeded on Sunday, December 9, 2018 around 9:30 pm to the kidnapping of Mohamed Harrouchy, aged 41. While his vehicle has remained untraceable so far, his lifeless body was nevertheless found on June 9, 2019 in a ditch near number 672 on Rue de Verdun in Haren.
Six months after the kidnapping, the police are working to shed light on this case. Witnesses can contact the investigators on the toll-free number 0800 30 300, or send their testimonies to the address avisderecherche@police.belgium.eu.
