Belgian-Moroccan Boxer El Marcouchi Returns to Ring, Eyes WBA Title Shot

The Belgian-Moroccan boxer Mohamed El Marcouchi wants to fight again after several months of inactivity due to the coronavirus. He gets back in the ring this Friday in Roosdaal, not far from Brussels, to prepare for the WBA title.
Mohamed El Marcouchi has long dreamed of this title scheduled for 2021, reports La dernière heure. Difficulties are the origin of the failures known in previous editions, including disappointments, financial difficulties and organizational problems. "But my new manager is doing everything to make me able to fight for this world title," he said.
To get back on track after this long period of inactivity away from the rings, Mohamed El Marcouchi is counting on the fight this Friday. However, he mentions some training difficulties related to the closure of training halls and the constraints related to compliance with preventive measures against the coronavirus.
The Moroccan boxer did not fail to mention his fear of the opponent. "That’s why we’re taking all possible measures with the sparrings, we’re doing tests if necessary and we’re writing down everyone’s names. It’s a bit complicated at first but it becomes a habit," he added. A few hours before this long-awaited meeting, the 200 tickets planned have already been sold.
