Belgian ISIS Widow Escapes Kurdish Camp, Attempts Return with Children

Nora Marzkioui, the widow of Nabil Kasmi, leader of Sharia4Belgium, has escaped from the Al-Hol Kurdish camp and is trying to return to Belgium. The federal prosecutor’s office announced this on Thursday, during a trial involving the fugitive.
It was at the age of 26 that Nora Marzkioui arrived at the Al-Hol camp, after the Battle of Baghuz. According to the federal prosecutor’s office, she has fled the Kurdish camp and is heading to Belgium with her children.
Her husband, on the other hand, was considered one of the most important ideologues of Sharia4Belgium. He was the first Belgian to leave for Syria to join the Al-Nusra Front in 2012. It was much later, writes 7sur7, that he joined the ranks of the Islamic State (IS). After being sentenced to 15 years in prison following the trial against Sharia4Belgium in Antwerp, he would have been killed in March 2019, but his death has never been officially confirmed.
Regarding Nora Marzkioui, the federal prosecutor’s office has requested 5 years in prison against her, with the loss of her Belgian nationality. The judgment is expected on December 19, the site reveals.
