Belgian Green Party Poised for Leadership Shift: Young Moroccan-Belgian Politician Vies for Co-Presidency

The candidates for the co-presidency of Ecolo are two figures who embody experience in the person of Jean-Marc Nollet and youth, with Rajae Maouane, two values on which the hopes of the Belgian political party are based.
30 years old, Rajae Maouane was born to a worker father and a housewife mother, both of Moroccan origin. Presented as a woman passionate about social justice, she is also passionate about education as a vector of emancipation. It was in October 2018 that this young elected official became a Municipal Councillor in Molenbeek, then a Brussels Deputy on May 26 last, recalls 7sur7.
Graduated in Communication from the Higher Institute of Social and Communication Training (ISFC), Rajae has honed her skills in politics alongside the former Alderman of Molenbeek, Sarah Turine, working in the field of youth. She is a strong advocate for an inclusive and social ecological transition.
The only candidates for the co-presidency of Ecolo, Jean-Marc Nollet and Rajae Maouane - who are also members of the Parliament of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation - who are awaiting official confirmation of this position in the coming days, seem to be unanimous and generate a lot of hope.
