Belgian Futsal Club President Stranded in Morocco, Unable to Return Home

Stranded in Morocco since March 20, Abdellah Oulad, president of AS Schaerbeek, was unable to be part of the delegation of the last 264 passengers who were recently repatriated to Belgium.
Like the other compatriots stuck in Morocco, this Futsal club president no longer knows where to turn, reports the newspaper La Meuse. He is desperate not to be able to return to his loved ones, especially his 85-year-old mother in poor health, who lives alone with his younger brother. "My mother was recently hospitalized. The idea of not being there for her in case of trouble tortures me every day. Moreover, the distance from my children is eating me up inside. But I’m not asking for any special treatment, because we are still many in the same situation."
Abdellah Oulad is also president of his futsal club, AS Schaerbeek, the first Brussels club to win a title in D1 at the ABFS (in 2019) and which has many young people. Far from his country, the club president fears the worst if the situation persists: "At the moment, it is impossible for me to return the supporting documents to the subsidizing authorities. This could imply financial losses that could be fatal for our club, which has nearly 600 members and about twenty teams in competition."
According to him, delays in the progress of obligations could have a disastrous consequence for the survival of his club when it is in a key period for the closing of this season and the preparation of the next season.
