Belgian Foreign Minister to Discuss Repatriation of Citizens Stranded in Morocco

Philippe Goffin, Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, will exchange on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, with representatives of the platforms of Belgo-Moroccans stranded in Morocco and Belgians stranded in Morocco and their lawyers. On the agenda of the exchanges, the repatriation of people who remained stranded in Morocco.
"The minister called us on Saturday to offer us a meeting at the ministry for Tuesday, May 19," said one of the platforms in a statement. The courteous exchanges bode well for a good outcome of the situation.
Together, the two parties will discuss avenues of solutions likely to facilitate the repatriation of people still stranded in Morocco due to the suspension of air flights. According to the platform, 3,500 people out of 10,000 have been repatriated so far.
