Belgium expects the extradition of a Moroccan-origin drug lord arrested at Dubai airport. He had been sentenced to eight years in prison as part of the "The Figure" case, an investigation into the organization led by drug lord Hoesny A., 43 years old.
Another Moroccan-origin drug lord arrested in Dubai. As he was about to board a flight to Morocco, Salahdin K., 41, was arrested at the airport. During the check of his documents, the Dubai authorities discovered that he was wanted internationally after a conviction in Belgium. Absent from his trial, the one nicknamed "Salah the doorman" had been sentenced in June to eight years in prison and a fine of 64,000 euros, as part of an investigation into the organization led by drug lord Hoesny A. (43 years old). The court also ordered the confiscation of one million euros.

Kato Belmans of the Antwerp prosecutor’s office confirms the arrest of Salahdin K. and requests his extradition. The former renowned Thai boxer was convicted as one of the leading figures of a criminal organization around Hoesny A., who imported cocaine on a large scale and laundered money. "Hoesny appeared in the investigation as the absolute boss. He ran the organization from Dubai, assisted by four accomplices in Belgium," the prosecution said during the case review. "Salah the doorman" was one of Hoesny’s four lieutenants. This is evidenced by decrypted messages on Sky ECC. These revealed that Salahdin maintained close contacts with Hoesny A.
"Salah the doorman" had the pseudonyms: "Calbo", "Largo" and "Sagat". "Calbo, we’ve been in this business together for ten years," Hoesny had written him in a message. K. also collaborated with traffickers in South America and made decisions autonomously. "With the coronavirus on the other side, we have no choice but to take a break," he had written.
