Badr Hari Launches Sports Project to Nurture Moroccan Talent

The Moroccan kickboxing champion Badr Hari is involved in a sports project in Morocco, "a country filled with raw talent, with great capabilities and an inspiring youth".

The Moroccan kickboxer says he wants to create "an adequate environment in Morocco to ensure a successful path for these talents within the country". "I have seen many young Moroccans in the gym, and we have some raw talents that have really surprised me with their abilities and what they are capable of. Currently, I meet them daily. But in the end, these are just raw talents; it is a journey that will take time before we see which ones will succeed," he said in an interview with Hespress.

The Moroccan champion added that "setting up a conducive environment for Moroccan talents can help the Kingdom become a great nation in all sports," noting that "the provision of larger and larger training spaces could contribute to the development of sports talents in Morocco." "We Moroccans have more than just talent, we have that inner fire, that flame that burns within us, and that is what sets us apart tremendously."

For Badr Hari, "creating a space and motivating young girls to pursue their dreams, to transform their ambitions and their talents, is an essential thing. I think with "Punch", we are establishing a very favorable environment for women to train and achieve their goals." The Dutch-Moroccan also stated that the objective of the "Punch" project is to raise awareness among the Moroccan population and its youth in particular on "the need to take care of their health."

The champion, who is spending the month of Ramadan in Morocco, also spoke about his professional future. "Right now, I’m focused on setting up an environment for the growth and training of talents. I’m still thinking about how I’m going to retire, because I’m in a transition phase."
