Antwerp Mosque Receives Bullet and "Kill Muslims" Threat, Sparking Islamophobia Concerns

Death threats have been addressed to the worshippers of the Al Kafaalah mosque, located in Antwerp (Belgium).
The Muslim community in Antwerp is in shock after a letter containing death threats was dropped in the mailboxes of the Al Kafaalah mosque. "A mosque on the Turnhoutsebaan received a bullet by mail. A threatening letter with the message ’Kill Muslims’," can be read in the publication posted online by Muslim Right Watch Belgium (MRWB).
"We received a report from the Al Kafaalah mosque, located on the Turnhoutsebaan, this Saturday morning," confirms Kim Bastiaens, spokesperson for the Antwerp police. The officer adds: "On Friday, they received a letter containing a plastic bullet in their mailbox. We are investigating the case, but so far no suspect has been found."
According to MRWB, this is not an isolated incident. "This is a blatant and tangible Islamophobic hatred. MRWB will take care of it. We are in contact with the targeted persons (the mosque, note), we are following the case and we continue to put pressure on the political authorities to take Islamophobia and this hatred seriously. We will not remain silent."
