UK to Announce Low-Risk Travel List, Morocco's Status Uncertain

The British authorities are about to publish a list of countries whose nationals will be exempt from quarantine from July. Will Morocco be on it?

The British government announced this news on Friday, June 26. Since June 8, the country has been quarantining travelers from abroad for 14 days to prevent the import of new cases of covid-19 contamination. A measure that is part of the UK’s deconfinement process.

"A full list of countries presenting a low risk [...] will be published next week and travel can resume with the countries on (this) list the following week," the government said in a statement, noting that "the UK will likely discuss these arrangements with countries, including France, Greece and Spain, in the coming days."

Morocco is not currently on the list of countries whose nationals will be exempt from quarantine from July. Given the criteria, in particular a country presenting a low risk, the kingdom could be part of it. Since it meets this criterion. The kingdom has made the fight against covid-19 a priority. As a result, it is one of the countries whose epidemiological situation is under control. Its efforts to counter the virus and preserve the health of its population have also been praised worldwide. Morocco is a model example in this regard.
